Richard brings over 30 years of experience in litigation expert work, business valuation, and transfer pricing, serving clients ranging from privately held businesses to multinational corporations. His expertise includes complex financial modeling, economic analysis, and strategic advisory across a wide range of industries.
In litigation cases, Richard provides expert analysis on economic damages, lost profits, and business interruption claims. Whether consulting behind the scenes or testifying as an expert witness, he equips legal teams with credible, data-driven insights that withstand scrutiny in court.
As a valuation expert, Richard has delivered opinions for mergers and acquisitions, gift and estate tax reporting, fairness opinions, financial reporting (including intangible asset valuation, goodwill impairment, and equity compensation), corporate restructuring, buy-sell agreements, S-Corporation elections, and shareholder buyouts. He also conducts Quality of Earnings analyses to support transaction due diligence, helping buyers and sellers assess the sustainability and reliability of reported earnings. His insights have helped senior management navigate high-stakes decisions with clarity and confidence.
Richard is an accomplished transfer pricing specialist, adept in global tax regulations, and cross-border economic frameworks. He provides defensible studies for intercompany transactions involving goods, services, intellectual property, and financial arrangements.
His industry experience includes Information Technology, software, marketing, staffing, auto dealerships, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, law firms, manufacturing, banking, oil and gas, energy, chemicals, transportation, real estate, construction, engineering, architecture, metal fabrication, wholesale distribution, retail, and leisure.
Richard has held senior roles in the Big-4 accounting firms and international consulting firms. He also contributed to international financial consulting initiatives, including serving as a financial markets development consultant on a USAID-funded project.
